Quelques aiguisoirs à trou de suspension recueillis en Haute-Normandie (2008)
WATTE Jean-Pierre, BROGLIO Gérard , HUET François , MONTVILLE PatrickNeuf aiguisoirs à trou de suspension sont répertoriés en Haute-Normandie, dont un exemplaire biforé, un autre à débuts de percement et gorge. Un spécimen, de Rouen, provient d’un horizon fin de l’Age du Fer - gallo-romain (surtout) - haut Moyen Age : si ces objets sont attribués généralement à l’Age du Bronze, ils se retrouvent donc aussi dans des contextes plus tardifs.
Nine whetstones with suspension holes have been catalogued in Upper Normandy. One has a double perforation, another the beginning of a hole and a groove. Although these objects are usually attributed to the Bronze Age, they can also be found in later contexts: a specimen from Rouen is associated with late Iron Age, Gallo-Roman and early Medieval periods.
